Have you managed to get time off for Christmas this year?

I'm luckily breaking up from work on 23rd December and returning to work on the 4th January 2022.

Can't wait for a decent amount of time off and to celebrate the holidays

i have suspended my face to face teaching because of Omicron. i am working online until 19th of December. Don't know when i will go back to face to face teaching

im in college so im off from dec 17 till jan 18 

but i have to get through finals first

I'm working until December 23d and I start again on January 3d. Between Christmas and New Year's I'll be in London with my boyfriend

My work is like holidays for me, but if we want to talk about holidays then I have a week off would be drinking and listening to some Lana and Britney 🤭

Everyday is time off since my office job gave me a laptop and sent me home 🤪

 

The laptop will be officially closed from Friday 17th Dec until Jan 4th

I only have Xmas Eve day off. My work is really good about allowing us to take off as much time as we want, as long as we the PTO to cover it. But I work from home, so I didn't feel the need to take time off, especially since I'm not going out of town.

Yes, out of the 23 days left in December, I only have 6 days left of work. This is my first year with a full-time job, and I saved a bunch of my PTO for this time of the year so that I could feel like I still get that winter break that I always got as a kid and throughout college.

Not in the US, my job is one of the few places closed each weekend, and we serve adults with developmental disabilities, so Their parents, Groups homes actually need that 8 hours Monday through Friday to get errands and other stuff done that can make it hard when their at home.  

So nope, were one of the few places that is open every single holiday except Thanksgiving and Christmas of course, eventually new years as well, due to severe hangovers from the staff as well 

 

If the holidays were closed on is a Saturday you get the day before off.

 

We get Christmas eve and New year's eve off as well.

I start a new job at the beginning of the year so I’m not working until then!

Yes. Due to covid, I didn't take much vacation as there wasn't really a reason to. So far my only vacation was 1.5 week off in September to go to Berlin.

Now I am off from December 20th till January 4th, starting work on Jnauary the 5th. Nothing planned other than shopping for my recently bought appartment!

Still have 22 vacationdays left but we can transfer them to the next year and use them the entire year...so next year the office ain't gonna see me much

Perks of being the only one in my job. There's nobody that subsitutes me when I'm away and I can take off whenever I want since I don't have to take others in account when they have off. The downside is, a LOT of work will be piled up when I return...

I will have to work for the first time ever (that I can remember) between Xmas and New years, just for 2 days, but Im still pretty upset about it. Im off from the 20th-28th and then off again on the other side of the new year.
