Latest Pokémon 25 music video, 'Phases', is released featuring Jax Jones and Sinead Harnett

Throughout the year, Pokémon has been releasing several songs featuring various artists from their Pokémon 25 compilation album to commemorate 25 years of the franchise.

The latest video is Phases, a song performed by Jax Jones and Sinead Harnett

 

 

Katy Perry, Post Malone, Mabel, J Balvin among others appear on the record, which was released last October

Literally none of the Pokemon 25 songs have made an impact. Is Pokemon going through its Bionic era?

whoever made those decisions is just very disconnected from the actual Pokémon fanbase.

The songs themselves are not bad, they just don't have anything to do with the videogames, or the anime or the movies, even lyrically they don't have that same feeling an opening theme would have for example. 

The main fanbase don't care for these artists, either because it's simply not their genre, or because most of us are too old to care for / know these artists. And the general public or whoever are supposed to be the fans of these people, are not here for Pokémon because lots of them are allergic to anything kids related and automatically deem it inferior, even if the song is good (see Ooh La La). 

I think Pokémon fans would've been more supportive if instead of these generic songs they were covers of the various opening themes of the anime (I mean, they have more than 20 to choose from, they could've even translated the Japanese ones) or if they were inspired by the soundtrack of the games.
