Danja says 'Blackout' was 20 years ahead of its time: Britney "already set the bar that people are still struggling to meet it."

It's for sure her magnum opus. Shame it happened during a very chaotic time in her life. I think she can top it/equal it one day. People said Madonna peaked with Ray of Light but Confessions proved that wrong.

Not gonna talk future comebacks because Britney hasn't said what she wants to do in regards to that. I will say Blackout is absolutely iconic. You get used to albums that have so many fillers and there's only one song I skip on Blackout. Heaven on Earth is ehish for me. Rest of the album is absolutely classic and it's a masterpiece.

Heaven on Earth is my favourite song on the album! Followed by Ooh Ooh Baby and Break the Ice. The songs I skip are Radar and Toy Soldier

Not the same song, Danja did Britney’s track Timbaland did M.Pokora’s

jim Beanz and co writer of the title

he had been to announce that the title had was then to give to M.Pokora and to rework with Timbaland who it maybe Danja may not be the original producer but Timbaland and Beanz they had to work together for Blackout.

maybe we will have the truth one day with Danja

I see master Danja still speaking the truth in 2021.

Blackout is a masterpiece, her best album. Would I change a thing or two ? ..maybe. But it was a trendsetter, it was an iconic moment and that moment is called our youth. :notfeelinit_ny_tiffany_pollard_miss_ms_new_york_meme_sunglasses_bed_mad_waiting_crossed_hands:

Lowkey going to get a glass of wine to deal with emotions now :leaving_tiffany_pollard_walk_away_leaving_bye_walking_out_pink_miss_ms_ny_new_york_bag:

I haven't heard the whole of FutureS£x/LoveSounds but the singles from that album always gave me futuristic vibes. Even Wikipedia says the album had electro influences. But who knows :idkney_britney_glory_carpool_karaoke_unsure_idk_nervous:

I haven’t heard that entire album either.  Enough said

The cd Britney had says Danja but it is very oddly similar you could be right Danja was Timbalands protege

I don't know ... but if that's the case it wouldn't surprise me there are so many texts that have different productions by different producers that maybe Timbaland would have reworked it in his style keeping the parts of Beanz 🤷‍♂️

I also agree with you🙂

I remember reading about how Britney was ahead with Blackout in sound, like being in the inital round of that sound or something like that.

But Britney Jean was the opposite, coming in the end of the EDM trend and being dated by release.

I love BLACKOUT with my entire soul, it was my first Britney CD that I bought (not my first-ever CD... that was Hannah Montana Soundtrack :emma:) and the case fell and broke because I always listened to it when I was in the shower :wontcry_tears_crying_sad:

"Ahead of it's time" doesn't quite sum it up because it's not necessarily true. I feel like that statement is just pure hyperbole and gets thrown around too much these days.

Instead, I just think of this album sounding timeless and classic in a way that  it has never sounded dated after all these years. Which cant be said for a lot of music from that era.

While it does remind me of that specific mid 2000s era of being in your 20s, clubbing, partying, etc (I was only a few years younger than Britney and this was our party record for sure, seemed like it summed up the mood of that era perfectly) it definitely exists in a universe/timezone/atmosphere of it's own.

Anyway I'm always here for  Blackout worship and it's nice to have the general public recognize her artistry this way---even if it took the culture forever to get on the same page as us! Music Video Dancing GIF
