Jamie Lynn reportedly feels blindsided after This Is My Brave announced they won't accept donations from her book

Jamie Lynn Spears was blindsided when 'This Is My Brave' publicly announced they would no longer accept donations from proceeds of Jamie Lynn's forthcoming book, 'Things I Should Have Said,' People reports.

"Jamie Lynn was totally blindsided by them publicly walking away. The organization was recommended and vetted and knew we were donating, but they've been overwhelmed," the source says. "Unfortunately with them backing out, they are essentially saying that one person's mental health struggles are more valid and important than another. They took a clear stand on whose story they thought had more value to them. Seems their actions don't align with their mission of supporting all voices."

The insider adds the ordeal has been "very upsetting" for JL. "Jamie Lynn has suffered abuses in her life as well and that's what people aren't understanding — she has her own things she's gone through," the source says. "She can't help that she's Britney's little sister. Her life is only spoken about in relation to her family even though she has also been dealing with mental health issues for the better half of her life. This just reinforces the entire trauma — that her story doesn't matter."

A separate report claims Britney feels "abandoned" by Jamie Lynn. Elsewhere, it was reported Britney has no interest in mending her relationship with her younger sister. 

In an Instagram caption, Jamie Lynn says this book will touch on her own mental health. 

"I've spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn't, so for the first time I am opening up about my own mental health, because this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself, and face a lot of hard things, that I normally would have just glossed right over, like I was taught to."

Britney's own mental health was questioned then used against her for nearly 14 years. Jamie Lynn could have spoken up, but didn't... until it was for profit. ☹️

Well maybe this can be a life lesson for her. When you watch somebody being abused, stay silent and are happy profit from said abuse, it makes you complicit and there will be consequences. This is one of those consequences.

She doesn’t seem to realise the sheer hypocrisy of trying to advocate for mental health when she has done absolutely nothing to help her sister but is happy to message fan sites asking them to screen cap her messages saying that Britney is getting worse. Like, how DARE she try to act like she’s some kind of martyr? Every opportunity and sum of money that she has received is down to BRITNEY.

Although I do believe she probably suffered some kinda of abuse cause she was a kid in that family, she is just putting all the responsibility on that, like she can't respond for her own acts  (or the lack of it) cause she faces mental health issues. 

It's completely possible that she did struggle with abuse and mental health issues AND also took advantage of her sister situation cause it make her own life more comfortable. It doesn't have to be one thing or the other.

In other words, I do have empathy for her mental health issue and any abuse she might have suffered, but I also think she needs to take the responsibility for her own actions supporting the violation of Britney's human rights.

Of course her story doesn't matter. Is that wrong? Her life is not of public interest, she's a low profile celebrity and that's okay. Totally normal. Only a selective few people have the luxury/bad luck to be part of that superstar elite.

Get over it, Jamie Lynn. Your sister is famous and interesting and you're not. You just would like to be. 

Your mental health matters to you, and your family and friends. No one else gives a ****. Be grateful you are allowed to be a free woman and in charge of your life.
