Britney first mentioned TriStar back in 1999

Just an interesting find today..I was going through some old Britney magazine interviews online and I found she mentioned TriStar back in July 1999. She did a magazine interview for FHM magazine and this is an excerpt:

FHM: The Britney phenomenon is really taking off – there’s even talk of a TV show. Is that true?

Britney: Yeah, that’s something I want to do in the future, but right now I’m so focused on my music I don’t have time. My lawyers have agreed a deal with TriStar, but nothing is set in stone. I’d like to do a young 90210. I’m supposed to film some episodes of Dawson’s Creek in September, too.

I'm sharing this because I had no idea she had ever mentioned TriStar by name in the past, let alone as early as 1999. I was under the impression any talks of TriStar didn't become a thing until like 2004. Did anyone else know about this? I wonder if Britney and Lou had any early interactions at that point.

Are you sure this isn't TriStar the film company? Who I think aren't affiliated with Tri Star Sports & Entertainment (could be wrong though)

How did u not know?? She spoke proudly and a lot about doing a couple episodes on Dawsons. It was supposed to be around the same time she did that guest on Famous Jet Jackson but nothing ever happened. I wonder if theres episodes we never got to see since how she spoke of it was like she had already filmed her episodes. Or maybe they recast her with that 2nd blonde chick that ended up dating pacey and being whacko

I know a lot of people that were involved in Dawson's Creek because they filmed it where I grew up. I may have gotten a chance to meet her had she filmed. I was a little kid tho lol
