It's a very complex issue. Being 50% Irish, 25% black and 25% Venezuelan, it was always hard for her to identify with any group. Neither here nor there.

She has released so many Spanish versions of songs over the years from the beginning so that's a nice dedication to her roots. I don't think she would ever release Spanish albums like Xtina though. Her pronunciation is not that great either.
