His whole point was that in his last special he made some jokes about trans people and his trans friend Daphne who defended him on twitter was attacked so bad by the trans community and SJWs that she commited suicide a week later. So yeah. Most people cant make fun because you will lose your job, get harassed and called transphobic by these lunatics.. His point is that you cant do it - but he doesnt give a **** he will do it anyway. And considering the outrage and the fact that some Netflix employees even wanted to strike - he is right. If Netflix hadnt spent so much money allready and he was less popular his career would be over.

the funny thing is the protesters became who they despised in the first place. It’s obvious some of you didn’t watch or finished the entire special as it was a tribute to his trans friend Daphne who her own people caused her to take her own life for standing up for him as a fellow comedian. His point is we are all connected to each other and relate at some level as he started the special saying how hurt he was to see his fellow blacks beating up Asians. He might not agree with trans but he related to Daphne as a fellow comedian. 
 

not to mention he pointed out the hypocrisy of Hollywood just like how memebers here were saying why aren’t other popstars supporting Britney at this time when they had jumped on other civil causes.

Didn't the SJW side of the trans community bully Dave's trans friend into taking her own life? Doesn't sound very inclusive to me. An opinion being different doesn't automatically make it whateverphobic. It's important to listen to different perspectives while expressing your disagreement rationally and respectfully. Of course, a lot of the time even if you're being respectful, people will tell you you're a sensitive snowflake, but those people aren't worth your time anyway. Obviously, we shouldn't allow people like Boosie Badazz to run around, calling people slurs and telling them to kill themselves. However, I didn't really find Dave's special problematic at all. You're allowed to disagree and fight the good fight if you see fit, which is why I've stopped caring about "cancel culture", but can we please stop this minority tyranny of only one accepted opinion / point of view? It's tiring.

It's like we've watered down the meaning of what it means to discriminate. Discrimination would have been denying her service for being trans not misgendering her. 

I don't know, maybe I'm just behind with the times but this entire culture just seems toxic to me and making it more difficult to gain understanding and acceptance by the general public.

As a gay man, I'll admit that this entire idea of having gender pronouns seems ridiculous to me. If you want to be referred to as they/them because you don't want to be gendered as male or female, then just wear a flesh colored body suit that covers your face and body and call it a day.

You said nothing wrong . No you should not have been given points. Opinions should be heard yet people seem phony and offended easily these days . Many think the world should coddle and accept.  Todays world wants you to be sensitive to many others beliefs and push it down your throat or punish you for not being on the same page  . Yet people have the right not to agree. You should be able to agree to disagree and it still be ok. Now your hateful . Thats not the case .. many try to understand but do not get the chance.  People seem to lost the ability to communicate in a civilized fashion with each other . That aspect which is lacking has cause the rise of so much hate. Yet by canceling or punishing others .. it only brings the rise of more anger.  This my way or the highway **** is garbage.  I am a gay man as well . I do not agree with you getting reprimanded. Everyone thinks and believes differently.   Communication is key .. freedom of speech in America is no longer a thing.  People are always going to be offended and yet the world is not gonna agree.. some may and some may not.

I thought it was mostly unfunny and kind of cheap to use a dead woman to justify pretty basic / dated jokes about trans people. I think it highlights Chapelle's lack of quality in most of his recent specials - I don't think that joking about X type of people is off limits, but make it funny, and definitely don't stand behind ur dead friend as cover. Own ur ****. That said most of the outrage feels manufactured on both ends.
