Tony Bennett remembering Lady Gaga's name on stage: watch the tender moment

I've been listening to Love For Sale a lot this weekend. I have such special memories of Cheek To Cheek - meeting both Gaga and Mr. Bennett backstage, interviewing Gaga, Gaga telling me jazz is the original form of pop music and recognizing BH's importance... such a magical thing to look back on.

This new clip brought a tear to my eye. Tony hadn't said Gaga's name in a long time, but on stage he felt inspired. 

I know there's some controversy surrounding whether Tony should be on stage - this was his last show and it was a really spectacular moment, so let's keep this topic as high vibe as possible please.

I thought it was nice. After all, music can bring joy to people with dementia and alzheimers. I think his family also loved seeing him happy on stage in his true element.

I think this process has been profoundly healing and supportive for him. Anyone else who disagrees on here and/or claims Gaga/his family is exploiting him is woefully ignorant.

Awwww, I didn't realize Tony has Alzheimer's.

My mom died of Alzheimer's over Christmas...It really is harder on loved ones than on the person who has it.

Music just lifts them up and makes them remember things that they wouldn't otherwise...It's really quite magical when it happens!

Jesus people, learn a little compassion. There is a time and place for "funny and kind of mean" comments but this is not it.

It was a beautiful moment, and I wish all the best for his family. It's a hard thing to go through.
