Mathew Rosengart files new docs after it was revealed Britney's private communications were recorded and monitored: it's unfathomable

Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, released a statement in light of the revelation that Britney was secretly recorded by her former security, a focal point of the New York Times' new doc, Controlling Britney Spears. 

Rosengart says “the chickens have truly come home to roost" and notes Jamie “engaged in horrifying and unconscionable invasions of his adult daughter’s privacy.” 

“Specifically, the Times reported that he and
others ‘ran an intense surveillance apparatus that monitored [Ms. Spears’s] communications’ and also evidently captured attorney-client communications with her prior lawyer, which communications are a sacrosanct part of the legal system,” he said.

Rosengart added what was “even more shocking” was Jamie and “his cohorts” allegedly secretly “captured audio recordings from Britney’s bedroom, including private communications with her children.”

“Unauthorized recording or monitoring of Britney’s private communications … represent an unconscionable and disgraceful violation of her privacy rights and a striking example of the deprivation of her civil liberties,” Rosengart said in a statement to Page Six on Monday.

He added, “Placing a listening device in Britney’s bedroom would be particularly horrifying and corroborates so much of her compelling, poignant testimony. Mr. Spears has crossed unfathomable lines.”

Rosengart pointed out California is a "two-party" consent state, meaning Britney needed to have agreed.

Rosengart said in court documents that “as a result of these deeply disturbing allegations, Mr. Spears will inevitably be focused over the next several days and weeks on defending his own interests not his daughter’s (yet again).”

He continued: "Regardless of the outcome of the allegations, what cannot be genuinely disputed is how deeply upsetting they are to Ms. Spears and if nothing else, they magnify the need to suspend Mr. Spears immediately."

A court hearing on September 29 will address Jamie's removal as conservator.

I was really surprised no one touched on whether or not she actually knew all this. I think she knew to some extent about her phone being monitored because she would try to use other people’s phones. But the cameras, no one has said.

Thank you Samantha and Lizz i don't think anyone was aware of Jamie doing this. And this is why these documentaries when done right are a good thing.
