It's not like these streaming platforms are raking in money with just the Britney docs alone. They make money with subscribers. Hulu has a free trial and it's relatively easy to get someone's log in info if you don't want to create a Netflix account. Hulu and Netflix produce content to bring new subscribers in, but most importantly, keep them. The number of people creating a new Netflix account just to watch this is small. Netflix doesn't have ads and if you have Hulu prime you didn't even watch advertisements when Framing Britney aired.

If anything, CNN would be the one to go after because it's network tv and they will run commercials during their special. This argument is stupid.

Frankly without these large platforms that appeal to the GP, Britney would still be fighting in silence. It's silly to deny their impact & if some good comes from it i.e Britney's freedom, then isn't that worth it? Would he rather Britney continue to suffer? Has he tried to free her in the time he has known her? No so this is a pointless conversation.

It's understandable that Britney would be opposed to her personal life being dissected by complete strangers and I really feel for her, she's been under a magnifying glass her whole life & I can't imagine having the world knowing all your business and talking about it, but it will all be worth it in the end.

As if the filmmakers are making money off of these docs.

Believe me...There is no money in documentary filmmaking.

If anything, Netflix profits...It's a Netflix-commissioned doc, so there's no way for the filmmakers to make anything other than the industry-standard fees that were stipulated in their contracts.

Part of me feels Netflix might have shot themselves in the foot with this documentary.

Britney mentioned wanting to tell her side of the story and Netflix would have been an obvious platform for that. If she's not happy with this doc then they can kiss goodbye to that future deal.

I can see Britney not being happy as she has been silenced for so so long and she's probably desperate to have her say.

However, these docs have truly been helping her gain traction and get towards freedom.
