The thing is American public is so gullible. They believe whatever the government tells them. If someone talks against the government corruption and control, then they are deemed "conspiracy theorists" by the media (controlled by the government).

I don't know, to be honest...but maybe it was the first time Britney requested that directly to her? Since she was put as judge for the case, maybe B didn't ask for her own lawyer in 2019? I am just speculating.

Because denying that would have been the same than admitting that she's corrupt. She's obviously gonna play the card "she never asked for her own attorney"... They are all corrupt and profiting from this Conservatorship.

Exactly I’m tired of explaining this to people acting incompetent. Yeah the judge could of done more, but it wasn’t her being complicit it was her lawyer geesh. It’s always negative here. Look at the positive. She got a lawyer that’s huge. Maybe it should have been that way but judge Penny wasn’t the one who denied it in the first place. Britney said herself a lot of stuff she didn’t know.

OP is asking why she didn't do it before, and the straight answer is that, because nobody had asked her before. Britney tried to hire different lawyers, yes, in the beginning, and then she was deemed incapable to hire counsel on her own by Ingham. This was accepted by the other judge Reva Goetz.

Why would Penny ask her to change lawyers, if nobody ever asked for it, ever since she became the judge? Britney never asked again, because she couldn't, she might have thought it was pointless anyway. Ingham wasn't gonna asked to be replaced either.

Not even public pressure was what made her do it. It was literally because Ingham resigned after her testimony, and at the same time, the rest of the interested parties requested to allow Britney to hire the lawyer she liked (Ingham had suggested another temporary court appointed lawyer).

The judge who denied her in 2008 was Reva Goetz. Britney never asked that to Penny.

I think democracy is a great idea but we have two parties that both have corruption at the top. It's like a political monopoly posing as 2 separate groups but all are on the same team. The American Dream is not dead because it exists among Americans... But it's not exclusive to Americans. All "low class" people dream to move up the social ladder and that's what the American dream is.

my point was that they are representing a false image of USA, and this is not just the case for USA but for almost every other country in the world, including mine and the reality is exactly like you said

So to be frank, I do not have high hopes on the situation, as much as I like to see Britney truly happy and free and for the people who did her wrong to be faced with their consequences
