Lol I think its the makeup.

She has super dark and cakey makeup on and it looks like she's covered in it like a draq queen would.

also I’m no expert but I’m certain they had more realistic looking wigs back in 2014

Probably for the best Britney stopped wearing that wig during the shows. I never understood why they made her wear those wigs anyway instead of letting her embrace her natural hair?

I’m sure they were thinking Vegas. Originally the show had different looks so I’m sure they wanted it for quick changes. Perhaps going with wigs that weren’t from Party City would have been a better idea  idk why they just didn’t let her wear extensions.
