Jason Rubin resigns as Jamie Spears' potential replacement of conservator of estate, Mathew Rosengart's legal team expands

Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, expanded his legal team on the heels of Jason Rubin resigning. Rubin was Rosengart's choice to temporarily replace Jamie Spears as conservator over Britney's estate once he steps down.

 

Rubin received criticism for recently trying to conserve his own mother despite her and his brother objecting. A court ultimately agreed and ruled Rubin could not conserve his mom because the doctor he conferred with, who provided a statement to the court, never actually met Rubin's mom in person. Read more about that here.

In a statement, Rubin explained why he is resigning: "I was inspired to become a professional fiduciary after my experiences in trying to prevent financial exploitation. Consistent with that goal, I agreed to be nominated to replace Mr. Spears temporarily based upon my experience in forensic accounting and as a CPA."

"To protect my young family and I from having to deal with the spotlight, I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration to replace Mr. Spears. I sincerely hope that this decision will provide an example for Mr. Spears to follow, in his daughter's best interests and with an eye toward ultimately ending the conservatorship."

According to a new report from Radar Online, Rosengart's team "will now include another ex-Justice Department legal eagle, Rosengart's law partner Kyle Freeny, a Harvard Law grad and expert in money laundering and financial investigations who was one of 19 prosecutors selected by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller to investigate Donald Trump and others."

He knew what he was getting into.  This is a very public case with lots of drama and scrutinity. 

I wonder what is going on behind the scenes. I don't buy that excuse, I feel like Rosengart told him to step down.

I don't know how I feel about this. Every day we get one of these people to leave is one more day that they can't effectively work on her case. It's just delay after delay after delay. It's important we let these people do their jobs. We fought for her to get Rosengart and now that she has him people don't trust him to appoint the right people no matter what their history is?

To be honest, I was one of the people a bit skeptical of him. I trust Rosengart honestly. But, I will say something felt a little off about Rubin wanting to conserve his mother against her and his brother's wishes.

If he was indeed a valuable asset... 

Is it possible take maybe Jamie and his lawyers threatened him ? 

I don't believe he is giving up this case just because of that article.  There has to be something else that we don’t know
