Britney made TOXIC iconic. And it's what it's. Kylie would've done a good work but nothing iconic, I guess.

If Britney didn’t get Toxic, they probably would have given her Red Blooded Woman. That song has Britney written all over it and probably would have been a bigger hit had it been hers. Love both songs nevertheless.

the specificity of Britney is her visuals mixed with catchy samples of her songs.

the MV made toxic as much as the instrumental, if not more. some for BOMT and the schoolgirl outfit.

 

that's why I've been disappointed in Britney's MVs since circus: most of them lack themed outfits. yeah, your dress is pretty, but come on, in TTWE you could've used some survivor outfit/militar ones; in criminal you could've used more creativity for dressing up as a criminal; in circus it was massively disappointing, like seriously, with such a theme, having such blank outfits? it was an opportunity to make a signature outfit just like toxic dress is to airline waitresses haha!

Well, if we start thinking like this Baby one more time was suppose to go to TLC and Umbrella to Britney I mean it's fate! Also, Cathy Dennis wrote this song and also gave the demo I like this version also a lot.

it's not slander, but without Toxic I doubt they would've come up with the same concept for the music video of Womanizer, or even the idea of hiring Joseph Kahn. And without those videos, Taylor wouldn't have tried to copy Britney either.
