Jesy Nelson signs US distribution deal with Republic records, which is a major first as most acts signed To UK label Polydor records are technically signed to interscope in the US. 

 

Jesy and her team probably were smarter to realize the US Label home to Ariana grande, Nicki Minaj, and distribution deals for acts who own their masters like Taylor swift and Jonas brothers were a more suited label than interscope which is home to Ellie goulding, lady gaga among others 

 

Plus interscope hasn't really been the top label it once was, republic took over as Universal Music biggest label especially in the streaming era and radio dominance  .

She also followed Nicki Minaj on Instagram confirming the rumors. And she only follows Nicki.
