I think at the time of the documentary release, everyone was associating her tears and words with this idea of the comeback of a fallen pop star. I think it was mistaken as "I'm sad about how my life

She says a lot that in that documentary that  makes sense now with everything that we know. :tiffsniffle_ny_miss_new_york_crying_sobbing_sad_tears:

it makes sense now - at the time i had no idea she was in a conservatorship and 99.99% of the world didn't either and it just seemed to me like she was fed up with fame and was recovering from her "breakdown".

even looking back at it today, knowing what i know and i still don't think it screams "i hate my conservatorship" at all. it was edited very well to look like it was not about the conservatorship.

Exactly. The stuff they added in was sad but didn’t make me think of the conservatorship.. :sobbing_unbelievable_wow_head_shake_no_crying_sobbing_sad:

omg i think i am going insane - i cant understand your other thread either.

i thought you mean that they allowed too much and that it looked like she was dissing her conservatorship and i disagreed; not agreed. omg im so confused hahahah this is hilarious.

I think it was mistaken as "I'm sad about how my life played out" and not "I'm sad that these people have control over my life." Even when she said she felt her life was too in control, the GP thought she needed structure and control and no one really knew how bad things were.

is FTR the first time team CON censored her? maybe she said so much more than what was finally edited out in the documentary. maybe they led her to believe that she'd be allowed to talk about her conservatorship and they didn't allow her in the end.
