Ariana Grande: vaxxed and masked

I understand her, but the vaccines were created so fast and aren't FDA approved (Food and drug administration) so for a lot of people, there's very little research on the vaccines, plus for a lot of people we have immune systems and vaccines tend to compromise them same with antibiotics and others meds that fight it, but unfortunately our immune system would think we need meds to fight stuff instead letting our immune system do its thing.

Pfizer tweeted alongside the vaccine, that antiviral medication will be required to fight the virus...so they’re developing one :watrusayin_britney_xfactor_confused_shocked_surprised_um_what: Vaccine manufactures have literally made billions from this.

Ariana also forgot to mention that several hospitalized covid patients are fully vaccinated - this includes confirmation from the CDC, CNN, & The New York Times. CNN states that vaccine resistant strains spread through the population faster at a time when most people are vaccinated.

^Those are facts. I will not get into my opinions. & I’ll end this by saying I know two people who have died from the vaccine, but no one that has died from covid.

I know several people who actually felt sick for days off the vaccine, and I never got any of the side effects, but my friends and family who are 60 and older sure as hell did.

That is the point of the vaccine. To introduce a weaker version of the virus into your body. Feeling minor side effects is proof its working. It's basically like sending a weak and wounded enemy to fight your army (immune system). It gives them the opportunity to learn the virus without it being a threat. Your body reacts as it should, and learns the best tactics to fight the virus so next time if you actually get it, they already have a blue print of how it should be dealt with.

I had covid back in February, and it was horrible. Some idiot at my work who refuses the vaccine, and masks gave it to me (and her husband, and a few other members of her family). Thankfully I pulled through after a miserable week feeling the worst I think I've ever felt in my life. I probably should have went to the hospital, but I'm single and live in my own apartment. I can't afford that so I refused to go. Anyway, I got side effects from both doses of the vaccine, but it was pretty mild and only lasted a day or so. Having experienced both Covid itself, and side effects of the vaccine... I'd take the vaccine any day. I don't ever want to feel the way I did with Covid ever again. The person who gave it to me still refuses the vaccine and masks... but she is dealing with her own karma as the virus damaged her olfactory receptor neurons. So now everything she eats and drinks smells rotten and makes her gag. She still loves to go on about how covid 'wasn't that bad' and didn't hit her very hard, but then later cry about how she is the most depressed she has ever been because she hasn't been able to eat dinner with her family in months or go anywhere food is without feeling sick. She of course is too stubborn to go get the vaccine or even try wearing her mask. I wouldn't be shocked if she gets it again, and I wouldn't feel any sympathy for her either as she is STILL dealing with the repercussions, and hasn't learned a damn thing. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Wow so many anti vaxxers in this forum. I thought young folks would be more understanding of science. Anyways,  because of the unvaccinated folks, we are in this delta situation. I thank you all for future strains that are going to keep us in this hell forever.

Your anecdotal evidence means nothing, so you should've stopped there. Everyone I know, me included, only had minor side effects from COVID and the vaccine, but that doesn't mean people don't die from COVID (or the vaccine for that matter). It's a fact that you're way more likely to die from COVID than the vaccine. There's already plenty of data out there, and it's already super obvious, but it will be even more evident once another big outbreak occurs among the unvaccinated in autumn or winter.

What's pathetic is that people don't see through all this BS.

People should definitely be aware and vigilant about the financial motives behind the vaccine's commercialization (for instance, I'm side-eyeing Pfizer's push for a booster), but the vaccine works to an extent and it's highly unlikely that it will result in any significant health problems in the grand scheme of things despite having been rushed. It's more likely that contracting COVID will have unforeseen longterm effects. Ariana is not some player involved in a Big Pharma conspiracy—she's simply doing what she thinks is moral with her platform.
