You said it!!! I relate to this SO MUCH! I was also a late teen (days from turning 20) when Blackout came out & she was an absolute ICON for her stans that were also getting to that “rebellion” age. Her fanbase was just getting old enough to go to clubs & explore life & see what it was really about!

Me & my friends would ride around at night smoking cigarettes & yes - drinking Red Bull listening to Blackout & then OF COURSE we would have to go grab coffee drinks in the morning to wake up!

Britney inspired the rebellion in us all during that time period (if you were around that age). I even remember at my local club there was a Blackout album release party! WHAT A TIME to be a stan!

Also, this is partly why I felt the conservatorship was so unfair. She was obviously just a young woman doing what other young women her age do!! Hers just happened to be on magazine covers in a negative light.

Britney was a young woman, just like me, exploring what that was about & being her age! I hate they took that away from her and turned her into a race horse/slave. & YES, you can still be a good mother & have fun in your mid 20s (theres a balance)

Sorry for the long reply/tangent. You just get it & said just what I was thinking & we have the same shared experiences. Long live Blackoutney :cigney_britney_smoking_smoke_lit_light_2007_fur_cigarette:

perfectly said! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Those were the days! I don't go out clubbing as much anymore, but to this day, anytime I do whenever Im getting ready I always put on the blackout album. It always puts me in such a mood and reminds me of a very fun time in my life!

The fact messney era (which haters dubbed trailer park trashney) is why people loved her, like one Britney fan, you would never see her wear designer clothes like Mariah Carey or glammed up to go to the grocery store, cos real people look like crap unless it's for a job or an important event like a wedding or funerals, normal people don't dress to impress every day, Britney is the most authentic celebrity which in America is rare as most celebrities trade humanity to fit in with the industry which is great, but being seen as a human being with flaws is more relatable than the god complex in celebs like Madonna which gets praised by the industry but nobody wants to be seen as God like in real life cos who wants to be untouchable or unrelatable to you or me.

But he also said I guess that's also the criticism for Britney by the industry, she knows we make mistakes and have bad days, and she's hated for it, which is bad, is it a bad thing for a celebrity who wants to be seen as a human than a role model.
