Sorry honey but we were all bullied as kids. Its called kids being kids. And then if ur a gay kid its even more. If u think ur some kind of special because u couldnt stick up for urself, u need some serious help. Did u want me to call Daddy Spears for u so he can really get u into shape? Unoriginal story, the sad part is u think u were the only one.

It's OK. You are suffering too. Here, a hug for you cause you really need it.

Suffering from seeing a post with someone trying to interject themselves into britneys situation sure with an appaling unoriginal story that the whole gay community has gone thru if they werent smart enough to act str8 and not paint their nails while being in grade school. I knew how to talk **** back and i  knew how to throw fists when it was time to throw down, on top of hanging with the popular *****es. Not sorry for calling someone out for saying britney saved him cuz the guys that were p4ob attracted to him talked **** to him. Go do drugs if ur so sad.

I will say as of recent the hardest thing for me, is realizing her story arc that I once found so inspirational (hit rock bottom but rose from the ashes) is all a lie, she’s been at rock bottom since the mid 00s….

That inspirational story really inspired me as a teen, I had a hard upbringing so for me britney was a hero. I was bullied and constantly ridiculed but I knew one day I was gonna have my Britney vma 2008 moment where I’m loved and finally appreciated.

at my summer job that I hated in 2016, I swear if it wasn’t for my love of Britney I wouldn’t I have been able to do it

the “if Britney can survive  it out of 2007…” really stuck with me, so I convinced myself I could accomplish anything based off that

well that line really hits different now doesn’t it

I well say this, I still find her story inspiring, Britney’s case literally reminds me off one of those 10 year abduction stories, where the woman are doing everything they can to survive, and try to escape whenever they can.

with that said, Britney’s strength to withstand all she has while staying absolutely beautiful in the public eye is a challenge not even the average abductee has to deal with and she deserves all the praise for that  (I’m not at all comparing tragedies)

It’s like faking a smile when you go to work everyday accept well ya know…

First and foremost, thanks for sharing your story. No matter what, I find it extremely beautiful and generous from all of you when you open up and share such personal sides of your lives.

Having said that, maybe you could reframe that and see that what she has survived after the apparent "come back" is the real admirable thing. That stupid comeback was just a marketing plot. Living through these 13 years is the real deal. I am not so intimately connected with her, but everything hs more than one perspective, so yeah, the official narrative was fake, but there is an even more interesting one underneath.

I would say that:

1. This is a great opportunity to assimilate a very, very important aspect of the world; nothing is what it seems and we don't know much about what others are really going through. In theory, we all understand this, but we don't really live this truth.

2.  We should never leverage our wellbeing through linking our identity to that of another person. There are no heroes, there are no perfect people. All we have are humans struggling, with ups and downs. It's good to take inspiration, but not to become one with them.

3. She might make mistakes or do amazing things, this doesn't define you. Turn your eyes inwards and you will discover that much of the beauty you find in her is also yours.

Big hugs

Haha no, I never said you were sad because of his post. You are sad with yourself and your life and you are just letting it out here. Anyways, what a tragedy that painted nails trigger you so much. But hey, if fan boards can help you release all that pent up anger, that is awesome.

For me... I don't think I ever bought into the recovery. It never felt or seemed honest.

But her now is truly inspiring to me. It's not just someone who got through a hard time- this is someone who's endured genuine nightmare level imprisonment in plain sight for 13 years, and through it all never lost hope. If Britney could hold on through 2008 to 2021, I can hold on through today. yknow?

Ummm, I don't think it was all a lie as her truth has come out we are thinking about this differently and you aren't wrong in that way at all.

I always think Britney wanted to work it's just the force nature of the team which made her sad, Britney IMO loves to perform and make music it's like a therapy to her but the way this C-ship has gone down that's where Britney got sad which I understand Britney is a inspiration to many and I love how GP is now supporting her.

But, I really don't like to think it as a lie but soon Britney will be free and her truth will be out so I hope we'll know from her.

Wtf. Stop being so damn rude and stop taking your anger out on someone that hasn't done anything. It's nobody's fault you're struggling with something.

You have some thought times as I see..

1. Most of the time you get inspiration from someone and it’s a good thing. Even when u were waiving ur fists u were inspired by someone (maybe narutos angry friend for example)

2. Bashing someone who don’t thinks as you is ingnorant Imo

3. I think u need more love (to get and to give as well) :*

about thread:

She survived way moore than 2007 so what’s a problem?! Once she said that she is going throu life like a karate kid.. I don’t thing any karate kid would handle that.. she’s like a superhuman so the facts that are more clear now should inspire you MORE and give u more strength!

congratulations for having the capacity to blend into your peers in high school to avoid bullying. the op opted for being themselves instead of “acting straight” and i find it very brave and inspirational, and no one should ever be bullied for that. your narrative is dangerous, you’re blaming the victim of abuse of being abused. it’s not the op’s fault, it’s the bullies’.

and to find inspiration in britney as a teen is completely normal, we all need external references. stop acting like you’re better than anyone else.

and about the thread: britney’s been through so much than just the 2007 breakdown and is still fighting for her rights! that’s even MORE inspirational and brave!

It is not news to me. I haven’t supported Britney the brand since 2007. I am not here because I have posters of her on stage all over my house, I am here because I believe in justice and human rights. She has great talent but that has nothing to do with my concerns for her civil rights.

We all kind of knew she lost the passion for performing. We could see it in her face and her well, performance on stage. We would celebrate her when we saw that look in her eye that she was feeling it. she was herself for a flicker here and there. I do take comfort knowing that when it mattered most we stood by her. it was not too long ago the forums were split on if she really needed help.

She is so close to getting her father out.

am i ask how old you are? - think you said in another thread you're a little younger than most of us here; i think most of us here are around our above 30.

i only ask cause it'll be interesting to see your experience with her career. if you are indeed younger than most here.

Yeah I’m 21, Gen Z here. I’m a digital media major in college :makeitrain_britney_blush_headphones_omg_wow_happy:

I see what you’re saying I have a “if Britney survived 2007 you can survive today” mug and an old phone case. I always had it in my hardest times during uni.

but just because she’s still unhappy doesn’t mean she didn’t show the strength you needed. She showed us you can survive and still be successful. Okay it was under this thing but ****** woman can work hard under restraints and isn’t that still empowering?

for me her survival is her truth and not a lie to her career and a defining part of her. 2007 was also dark and I think she needed to be steered on the right path. Idk if a c ship is the right way but it did save her and she survived 2007 this is a walk in a park.

her career isn’t a lie. Her career is very real. She didn’t have to be so happy all the time she was shes strong and she loves us and her career. She didn’t in 2007.

Look at this little clip. She was so young and said that singing didn’t become something she enjoyed until she became a mother and sang for her baby. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CR48TavFRB8/?utm_medium=copy_link

I think this is disturbing in the context around her. Lynne Spears drove her around the country since she was a toddler and pushed her to train, take intense classes, perform, audition and compete since she was a toddler. Then she had had enough as an 8-years old and was persuaded into take up singing instead. “When it is just a job...” Like, she was in her early 20s here and spoke as if singing was just the job she needed to do to get food on the table. She should not have had to WORK more than maybe a few years at this age, her PARENTS should have provided for HER, not the other way around!
Isn’t it telling that a 23-year old superstar says that they didn’t have a passion for singing until very recently? When their career had really been going on since they were 8 years old, with preparations for it since the age of 3?!!

When it comes from the person and not the parents, it IS already a passion and what makes them happy.

I don’t think the music is a lie as such. I actually think she’s very proud of a lot of her more recent albums and music in particular. She certainly always seems that way. However, I can’t help but feel awful every time I think of everything that poor woman has been through. But I think we should celebrate and be proud of her work, from her entire career. And if she ever decides to come back (I just want her to be happy more than anything), but if she did, I feel like she will be better than ever. Her star power is truly amazing and her resilience inspires me.
