This was a weird performance in my opinion... Just stylistically

It's older than the ABC version but it's not an old version of the song. I'm guessing she was supposed to sing that part live because she sometimes did but she either forgot or didn't want to.

Then show me an even older version of the song?

It is an old version, because it's not the released version... Anything after the release (i.e a remix) would be a newer version?

And where is there a single performance of her singing "now watch me" live? I've never seen it.

Her mic wouldn't have even been on, it's pre-recorded vocals? :)

It's not an older version :nochillbrit_britney_impatient_2008_annoyed_irritated_nope_smh_head_shaking_my_ftr_for_the_record_circus:  it's just a different version to make it fresher and make it look live, 'cause it was starting a new era.

Just because the "now whatch me" part is simply omitted doesn't mean it's an older version, I think she was supposed to sing it live 'cause she had his microphone in his hand but as said before here, she forgot or didn't want to.

No early version of slave has been released, only the album version.

The weirdest performance In my opinion will always be the FF promo performances of TTWE. Like, what was that blue rope?!! That part always makes me cringe. 😩🥴 1:35 mark

Is it just me? Like, what was it supposed to represent!?

Electricity.

This version came out after the original so I don't get how you can think that it's older?

She sang the now watch me part live during the DWAD tour a couple of times.
