Halsey criticizes Allure mag for not using correct pronouns

Recommended Posts

Sorry for my ignorance but i dont really follow this current gender pronouns trend and whatnot. Is this even a thing? C'mon! He or she is more than enough to refer a certain person (girl, boy, man, woman, gay, lesbian), theres no need to confuse the people around the globe for this so called "they" pronoun.

Im sorry if i offended someone in here who wants to call himself/herself "them", but it is so ridiculous.

ps... I dont post here anymore. I only visit here everyday for updates on brinny but this topic is so ridiculous it makes my low IQ brain cant comprehend this "they" thing.

Gosh!

It is a thing and people should try to be respectful. I personally don’t understand why they use she/them but it’s her choice

This is my one problem with Halsey. The over-reacting. She could have used this as a learning opportunity, to educate the GP about gender fluidity, but instead chose to be all huffy about it.

Dude **** off with the bullying. Not **** you, **** off with that! Antagonism is literally the most harmful perspective to have and SHARE on here or anywhere in response to someone expressing how they’ve felt wronged. Not to mention she’s angry because it’s a representation made by a major news outlet that she consented to. She’s hurt!

it’s not about educating people every time, because sometimes people are taken advantage of. Journalists historically do this. She does not have to teach people every ******* time someone gets her pronouns wrong, and in this case MANIPULATES her quotes to be out of context. It’s not about educating people on gender fluidity. She’s saying they ****ed up by not using her proper pronouns and they misconstrued her quotes to fit the posture of THEIR ARTICLE and NOT the point she was making.
