Worldwide lip syncing is considered a norm, but in the US it was frowned upon..

So a subject in a group stated every time Madonna promotes in the US, she always sings live, but everywhere else she lip syncs. Why is that?.

Money costs, America basically shamed lip syncing, not enough time to do a proper soundcheck and rehearsal for an hour long tv show..

 

But one person said it best. Promoting in Europe it's okay to lip sync, but when you tour and perform a live two hour show, that is never accepted, your mic has to be on, which is why Madonna does huge dance break downs just walks like a runway model when she's singing, cos noticed she ditched the mic head set, and is mostly singing through a regular microphone.  

 

But he does say, US however the mic will always be on, as lip syncing is forever hated promo or touring.

Most people still lip-sync and its like 40% track playback, the rest is live, or something like that. Or like Beyoncé, she pre-records to make it sound live.

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with lipping if u sing ballads or slow songs live 

it’d be better if the lip syncing was prerecorded tho

I don’t like lip syncing unless you’re dancing heavily  I love Britney’s voice like when she sang You Oughta Know and Something to Talk About live. When Britney said it felt illegal to talk into a live mic it makes me think Team Con was against live singing
