Do we even know who Britney is at this point?

So a lot of answers on the thread about Britney's latest post on here had me seriously thinking – do we even know what Britney is truly like at this point?

Her description has a lot of fans confused, some believe it's fully her and that she's extremely angry, some thing it's partly her, and some think its another narrative by team con.

Which leads me to believe that we have absolutely no idea of Britney's true personality. 

Everything we were shown since the Circus era to this day was the image of a woman her team wanted us to have. Super shy, super humble, super fragile, super sweet and nice etc.

 

But how about if we do a little rewind to Blackout and ITZ eras. Britney was extremely unapologetic then, she was calling out her team, she was calling out the media, she was calling out everyone who bashed her. 

WE WERE FED A VERY FAKE IMAGE OF HER. Britney is not this person they sold to us; she behaved according to a script and spoke according to a script. I think we're just about to meet the true Britney Spears, the one that we believed was gone after 2009, but was actually only hiding

I am inclined to think the post is completely Britney because I feel that she is FURIOUS. I think she is extremely angry, and I genuinely think she wants revenge. She wants to make them pay for what they've been doing to her all these years, and this is her prerogative. She has every right to it.

Did we ever? Did she ever? I have no doubt that this persona they’ve forced her to play since 2008 has messed with her sense of identity and traumatized her. She seems to be finding her voice again, which sounds a lot more like the Britney we knew in 2003-2007.

For 13 years she could not show her true self, and during these 13 years of torture, her personality could change drastically. Team Con showed her in the light they wanted. I hope that she will soon regain total freedom and the self-confidence that they deprived her of.

Well if anyone doesn't know her, they might get disappointed. I know who she is, but newer fans might have issues with it. I see that's totally her on intsta post. That's so Britney Chaotic era

This!  Fans have this idea of how they WANT her to be or expect her to act. It’s very controlling and toxic.

Yes pre conservativorship Britney was a friggen fighter. She has always been professional and kind to everyone but she use to always defend herself and be extremely confident!

The past decade we were convinced that off stage Britney is just a stay at home soccer mom who loves to use Pinterest 

Like this is the Britney who had an idgaf personality and Would readily defend herself 

I believe this is the real Britney and she has every right to make these post and be angry especially after Jamie Lynn keeps spreading lies on Instagram 

i believe if Cassie wrote it it would be more oddly cheerful and she would talk about how much she loves getting gifts or something

I think its a character the media and fans created...Not Britney. Look at Chaotic, that's the real unfiltered Britney...She's always been like this, but she's always been restricted in being her true self. It's disgusting what they have done to her.

Everyone changes and everyone has different layers to their personality. 

Ppl even act different when certain friends are around. No we don’t know Britney personally so we never knew how she was. 

I think Britney is generally nice to everyone unless you give her a reason not to be.

Sometimes I think Britney also is very self unaware...
