Popular Post idontgare
for years we’ve watched stars relinquish to the control of their team and we’ve watched them suffer tremendously. MJ, marilyn, judy garland, amanda bynes etc. But the thing about all of them is they never escaped. Britneys freedom will set a new standard and I think it’s a sign of the times. Am I making any sense? What do y’all think. 12 Link to comment
kevin.
Well already people don't sign record contracts and such. Its been different for years. They control their image with Instagram not the media ect, 1 Link to comment
Applejack
I think this case could shine a light on whatever the **** Live Nation and AEG do to maintain multimillionaire touring contracts. 3 Link to comment
Gayseus911
Mariah was going through something similar in 2001 so....she made one of the biggest comebacks in music history. 1 Link to comment
Danielle1987
I just personally do not think so. The industry is built on corruption & taking advantage of people - it never has the artist’s best interest in their hearts and minds. It’s just the reality. Link to comment
Gordon
Those comparisons don't make much sense. Music industry and entertainment industry in general are two separate things, and many of the people you mentioned are from different eras. One of them (MJ) had complete control over what he was doing and was able to gaslight the world on it to the point people are still defending him. In Amanda Bynes case, her parents gave her access to her money again after she cleaned up. 1 Link to comment
Alexa James
I think that’s what proponents of this conservatorship are afraid of. The entertainment industry likes to manufacture artists/performers to fit an ideal standard. If she wins, others will start to push for more creative control. Link to comment
Moscow
The way this has been put to light, I truly feel things will change and Britney's case will be like an historic example to remember! Britney has become much more than a pop icon to GP eye's now - she's a survivor and a fighter! I also think after Britney is free by this year, she might also work towards this. 1 Link to comment
