Billboard predicts Taylor swift to win album of the year a fourth time with "Evermore" and Fearless to be noninvasive as well and winning best country album..

They predict Billie to win record of the year a 3Rd time with Therefore I Am.

But state both Sour and Fellow Grammy fav Billie Eilish could pull the upset on Taylor swift.

They state Morgan wallen will not be nominated at all and is banned most likely.

How is it okay for Fearless to win when it's an old album? I know she re-recorded it but than why not have Xtina re-record Stripped every few years and win awards, Adele re-record her old albums and win awards. I don't get how re-recorded albums are eligible for Grammy wins...:mhmsureny_hmm_thinking_ponder_unsure_what_Tiffany_pollard_ny_New_York_miss_ms_sure:

Possibly due to the nature in why its been rerecorded and what it stands for in regards to artists rights in contracts, but also, despite being an album recorded when Taylor was 17-19 years old, and the quality of its writing has still stood the test of time. To some degree, it was reclamation of her older work and a return to roots, and that's before you get to the additional new content

I see your point, but what would the context be for Xtina or Adele to do so? Its a risky move because it can highlight flaws in the music (has Adele done to warrant a "return to roots" rerecording) or their abilities(Xtina's voice is different, and while it is still powerful, she doesn't have the same higher range, like the two Reflection releases).

I mean, frankly, I think Britney is someone we'll eventually see do rerecordings but a Britney Jean rerelease isn't going to win a grammy for simply being a rerecording.

How a re-recorded album can be eligible for Grammys? Didn't she win a grammy for some category with this album already? :watrusayin_britney_xfactor_confused_shocked_surprised_um_what:

It's because of the new material and the songs are retitled to Taylor's version and Billboard stated it's allowed as these songs are technically new recordings of older material and it doesn't go against their rules to the academy

Plus Taylor changed at least 10% of all the recordings in her version as that's what you're supposed to do. She kept 90% of the original but tweaked 10% of the new versions including her new vocals and it's actually more critically acclaimed then the original version of Fearless which earned 69/100 on metacritic..

Taylor's version earned 82/100
