Why does Britney call Jamie "my dad"?

I mean he is her dad, but given this situation it seems awkward to adress him with such a word that indicates emotional connexion. She can call him Jamie directly, or even father, but dad?

I mean that is really up to Britney to decide. It is a personal choice and what anyone else thinks/feels about it doesn't really matter. If that is how she wants to express her, that is really all there is to it. If she wants to change it later, also fine.

Other than calling him for what he is, dad is the safest option until she can label him a criminal.

Regardless of who gave birth to children if the parent is trash, they need to be reminded of that every single day.

I get what you’re asking. It’s probably pretty complicated for her emotionally and mentally to completely disassociate from him like that and not call him the way she’s been calling him all her life. I’m just guessing here.
