Well, she was found guilty, spent a few years in jail, but Andrea was given a new trial after a psychiatrist testimony was proven false, she was given a second trial and saw her jail sentence removed in resdons8of insanity, she's now in a low security mental institution these days, where she will live there for the rest of her life. 

 

Dr. Oz did a 20 years later episode, and Rusty Yates rightfully so is one of the most hated men of all time..

 

Andrea lived a normal life under medications had a nursing degree, but her case is a great example of not listening to the doctors can actually lead to horrible incidents
