Was Britney ever romantically involved with Sam Lufti?

Recommended Posts

Sam is gay and has ADHD (Google his history). I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a borderline personality disorder as well.

Many people with ADHD are extremely sensitive to rejection and often react the way he has reacted: bombarding the person who rejected them with messages, calls etc.

If they have borderline personality disorder, that tendency is amplified.

I’m diagnosed with both ADHD and borderline personality disorder, so I’m speaking from experience. 😀

In Finland my version of borderline personality disorder is called “emotional instability personality disorder, impulsive type” because I don’t really hurt myself (just feel like it), but if I’m under stress and don’t take good care of myself,  my emotions go up and down several times a day (sometimes in an hour), I become very “clingy” in relationships and can be extremely aggressive. I’ve now learned to control my urges and impulses, take good care of my neurology and have good medication for my ADHD, but when I was younger, I did express a lot of similar behavior as Sam (and to be honest, Britney, too).

My “kitchen psychologist” diagnosis is that more than fame Sam wanted to feel important and needed. When a rich, successful, famous and/or popular person needs your help, it can be intoxicating. (Again, I’m speaking from experience. 😀)

According some stories he wanted to “break into Hollywood” and surely thought that if he could succeed as Britney’s manager, he would become a legit power player.

I used to live a couple of years in Los Angeles area (Sherman Oaks and West Hollywood) in 2006-2008, worked for a couple of months to a rich heiress who used to be a music manager in the 1980s and saw many wannabe-industry people like Sam.

His mom seems to have been pretty wealthy (owned multiple gas stations) and she paid his living expenses etc., so I don’t really believe Britney’s wealth was his first interest.

Based on what I’ve read about his attempts to “fix things”, I believe he genuinely though he was helping others, even when he was hurting them by interfering in their relationships (again, been there, done that 🙈).

So, I don’t believe he is as much driven by the need to control others than by a need to be needed – to be special and close with someone whom everyone else thinks is special.

(If you recognize yourself from this, Sam, and sometimes get the feeling of emptiness, I recommend you’ll check out Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 😘)

As always, I reserve a right to be terribly wrong. 😀

Is this why he said “she’s not stealing, I own the place” that time Britney stole a lighter from a gas station?

I actually thought that he might have BPD as well! I also have ADHD too and can relate to the rejection sensitivity. It’s truly agonizing. I’ve been in relationships with people who have BPD and it’s a total emotional roller coaster ride. His pattern of behavior is also indicative of narcissistic tendencies. I really feel for Britney…she must have really gone through hell. It’s a bit scary that she is still drawn to him, as she has sporadically reached out to him over the years.  Therefore, I can understand why her family has continued to maintain a restraining order against Lutfi.

In addition to Lutfi, I believe that Britney also suffers from ADHD. She apparently struggled with sitting through the X Factor auditions because of her ADHD symptoms and needed to take several breaks. A source told a magazine that she has suffered from the condition for years but is not allowed to take medication to manage the symptoms  as such ***** can interfere with psychiatric medications for her other mental health issues.

Also, a lot of people have believed that Britney also has borderline personality disorder. I don’t really see that. She’s definitely a serial monogamist and has had plenty of stable relationships despite some ending on bad terms. If anything, she’s codependent. As she yearns for love and approval from those whom she dates.
