I think it comes down to her breakup with Safaree. It's obvious. He was to her like Dr Luke was to Katy Perry.

That’s a good point, but are you implying he wrote for her ‘cause I don’t believe it? I mean, she still wrote so many great songs after him and by the way she speaks in interviews, she seems like a well spoken woman.

I think she was his muse and it's obvious her lyrical material changed after the breakup. I dont think HE MADE HER but I think he collaborated with her without taking credit.

BIA seems interesting. I love to discover so many female rappers, the game needs so much more than two or three. :snarky_katy_merry_go_round_smile_proud_spinning:

I knew her with J Balvin’s “Safari” and her unreleased collaboration with Ariana “Esta noche” before Cardi B released “Bodack Yellow” and got the place that belongs to BIA. She’s has an interesting mixture of afroamerican and latinamerican culture and is more genuine than that big fake that Cardi is.

You need to hear this whole interview, but this part right here explains it all. They talked about their group which was had three members: Safaree, Nicki and Louis. Louis swore on his kids that Safaree never wrote anything for Nicki. I don’t know why it’s hard to believe that she writes her raps. Yeah, I get that the lyrical content is different from her Pink Friday days, but that was Nicki at her peak. Artists can’t duplicate their work.  :new_york_breathless_uncannyxman:

Cardi is just an industry plant made by Atlantic to replace Nicki and I’m not delusional. Her career is based on sympathy and payola and I’m not even hating but that’s facts. :chershade_red_wig_oh_hair_hmm:

I've seen this before. I still think the truth lies in the middle. If he was so lame, why would she be in a group with him??

I think behind Nicki’s come up lays years of hard work, failures and achievements. I mean, I don’t think she had better options and besides they were in a relationship. My question would be, why wasn’t he able to duplicate/reverse Nicki’s artistry to his own career? Time proved us that he didn’t release anything notable or worth watching. :lessons_preaching_telling_hand_smack:

I think he is too fem to be popular in Hip Hop - there's something about his style that seems fem to me.

Pink Print is her magnus opum, quality and honesty in her songs with some fun tracks. Unfortunately, much people despite her for made mainstream music but didn’t pay attention to gems like “Pills’n’potions”.

Imagine Invasion of payola having a Grammy and Nicki having zero... it’s so clear they bought the awards for her :nicki2_minaj_awkward_nicki_ooh_welp_well_look_blonde_hat:
