There are so many reports about this day, some fans comments that were there that day, saying she wasn't feeling it and Larry screaming mad about her performance during this show. I think nowadays we totally understand what happened, even though we have her own words on the documentary, I think at the time , it was harder for some of us to fully understand the situation.

She was so unhappy.... Look at her face, and her answers... poor baby.
Personally I wanna say "I'M SORRY BRITNEY" , because back then I used to think she didn't want to work anymore and I thought it was WRONG, but it wasn't wrong, it was yourself Screaming to let you the hell alone....I was young and thirsty for your art.

I wish all the threads existed back in the day from people’s first hand experiences of being in the audience. I just remember reading she was not into it and even supposedly left early and they had to edit the ending to make it look like she was still there or something.

I’ve said this before but something significant must have happened for sure between for the record filming wrapping and the promo tour for the circus album starting.

Exactly, I think they've prepared something really exhausting and EXPLOTION of promo tour for her "big comeback" and she refused to (Almost) all the plans, which at the time we thought it was bad. I'm being honest. The lack of promo it was her revenge and her protest as she kept held on this nightmare.

I’m so sorry as well, because, like many of us, I was upset at her « laziness » at times. I was so wrong. I’m ashamed.

I could not have dealt with 1% of what she’s dealt with. I admire Britney for her strength. She is my hero.

That’s an interesting theory, she was everywhere the first week of circus and then nothing until the tour kicked off a few months later (minus the Japan performances). It was a very unconventional era in terms of promo. I’d love to know what was going on behind the scenes November - March.

This hurts to read. 

It was literally so obvious, like people would always say and joke about how she looked like she didn’t want to be there, would rather be anywhere else. 

But at the same time, I don’t think anyone could understand why she’d be doing it if she didn’t want to be. Being human trafficked and used as a literal slave right in front of the entire world just seemed silly and impossible. 

It ALL makes sense now. I always wondered why she seemed to have no close friends and why she always felt so disconnected from us. I thought she just wanted extreme privacy after 2004-2009, but her team was just taking advantage of that by isolating her and abusing her.

This hits me cause I felt exactly the same I was judgmental, I was so wrong. We don't own her. I'm not proud either.
I'm sorry as well. I hope there'll be a time when she'll be free and we won't have to question if she really wants to do what she's doing.

She just looks uncomfortable. It’s an awkward thing to do as it is let alone when you’re not feeling it and your confidence has been dented like Britney’s had. Only a matter of months earlier she was experiencing the worst time of her life. 

Now looking back what’s happened since has been way worse than 2007 was.

A lot of us back in the day thought that something was off because she was on meds or something... At that time i really felt like her family was doing what was best for her... I felt like maybe she was just anxious most of the times which was probably right but now i can see 100% she didn't want to do it. I would support her 10000000% if she decides to retire from the industry. I just want that woman to be as happy as possible.

This is the night I realized the conservatorship was negatively affecting Britney & it definitely wasn’t a good thing for her. (For The Record premiered right after)

Ok so you're right!, I found it, It was on November 21, the same day where she was seen leaving Los Angeles Superior Court (it took me a long time ngl but she has the same necklace on the show and the photos.

So it makes way more sense why she felt so distant that day..., wow

Watching this makes me furious and sad.

She definitely wasn’t ready to go back to work.

And something that this really makes me realize is that if she had the help she needed at the time, not the abuse she received, she would be totally fine today being way healthier and happier than she is today.

They completely destroyed her, you can see here that she was exactly the same girl, with the same personality and same mannerisms that she was before 2007, just sadder, a little distant and uncomfortable with the situation.

The years of over medication and constant abuse are the reasons that her personality and way to act have changed so much over the years, not her public breakdown.

If she had people around her that really loved her and cared about her well-being, they would have supported her through a healing process to help her to get back her life in a healthy way, to recover from the trauma of those bad years. Stripping all of her rights, putting her on strong medication and forcing her to work against her will in less than a year isn’t how you help someone you love.

The story could have been completely different with a decent family. And Britney could be way more confident, healthier and happier than she is today. She would be the old Britney but more mature, the woman that she really is inside and nowadays we just get glimpses of, and I’m not referring to her “performer self”, I’m talking about her as a person, I couldn’t care less about music and performances right now tbh.

I don’t even want to talk about how different her whole life and her relationship with her kids could be.
