Spoiler

Britney Spears may have suffered a freedom set-back but now Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton and Katy Perry are ready for the fight - and are reportedly ready to launch a legal fund. Britney Spears has enlisted the help of an army of A-list stars who are so desperate to free her from her conservatorship they want to set up a fighting fund, it has been claimed. The pop princess is currently seeking to end the arrangement that has governed her life and finances since 2008.

Her father Jamie was granted control over her affairs by court order in 13 years ago. It was given after the singer was put in hospital amid concerns over her mental health, and it has been extended for more than a decade since. In recent days it has emerged that Britney's request to have her father removed from the conservatorship had been denied, causing an outcry among her fans. But the star will battle on - and it appears she isn't alone. She now has some big-name backing as she attempts to free herself from the "abuse" restrictions, according to reports. Heat Magazine claim that A-Listers are queuing up to support the Crazy hit-maker. Miley Cyrus has joined Paris Hilton and Katy Perry in throwing their weight behind Britney.

That's not all - Christina Aguilera, who starred in the Micky Mouse club with her, is also on board. Britney's ex-Justin Timberlake (:gloriascary_scared_shocked_shook_wow_surprised:) is also said to have pledged his support. As has music megastar Mariah Carey, he is said to be onside after hearing about the 39-year-old's suffering. A source said: "Britney has a lot of famous friends and they are desperate to help. "They are all offering to help and they are in touch, they are offering what advice they can. "They have also offered to set up a legal fund for her." Their support comes after the man who has guided Britney's career for the last 25 years said he is stepping down as her manager. Larry Rudolph, who helped secure her first recording contract, said the star's "intention to officially retire" had prompted him to resign.

The move comes two weeks after she told an LA judge that she had been forced to perform against her will. He announced his intention to resign in a letter to her father Jamie and co-conservator Jodi Montgomery. "It has been over two and-a-half years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus," he wrote. "Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire. As her manager, I believe it is in Britney's best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed." Britney's mum Lynne has meanwhile said that she has 'mixed feelings' about the conservatorship during a recent conversation with journalists.

I thought someone had already posted this but couldn't find it. Thoughts?

IMO: reaching..... they're just pulling the biggest #FreeBritney celeb voices that showed support. There's no legal fund that would cause any change; the only thing that could possibly happen would be POTUS doing something - but still doubtful. It has to go through the motions of the court...Welcome to the USA, where Justice takes forever.  What the celebs should be doing is getting ADAM STREISAND TO HER -- WHEN IS this going to happen!!!
