Ok why is it the trend lately to make the production as minimal as possible? Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift are all doing it. 3/4 of these artists have been working with Jack Antonoff, so maybe it’s his fault. 
 

Lana, Lorde, and Billie are some of my favorite artists and it really sucks seeing your faves releasing music that literally makes you feel nothing. Like none of the stuff they’re releasing is bad. I don’t dislike it. It just makes me feel nothing. I feel no connection whatsoever.

Lana Del Rey lyrics and melodies with Taylor Swift vocal arrangements. And funny how shes being more se/xy and showing more skin when she shat all over Selena for doing the same in Come & Get It. These anti-pop girls always come out condemning other se/xy pop stars and then a few years later do the same thing.

i like the song! and the video! but not really a fan of the album cover... I guess she wanted to be the oposite to current teenage artists that are really sentimental and sad? just an assumption

It’s growing on me. I like that she didn’t do the expected melodramatic sad kind of thing. This was a pleasant surprise. But I think she has way more in her than this.

It's growing on me. Definitely not was I expecting but does make sense somehow. And video is amazing. Cute and pleasant to see. I still believe that this is only a little portion of what's to come. Low key expecting for some dancy song(s).

Its very simple and subdued. Lorde is my go-to when I need something moody and dramatic so this is new territory for her. It's not that I don't welcome her going in a different direction but bright and airy is just not my vibe in general. I'm gonna stay open minded about the rest of the album, hopefully this is is just her invitation moment and at least some of the tracks have an actual pulse to them.
