Conservatorship reform is desperately needed in California to protect those who can’t protect themselves. Assembly Bill 1194 passed 69-0 today on the Assembly Floor. It will hold fiduciaries accountable, increase training & fines, and remove bad actors.

The bill will now need to be passed in the Senate and signed into law by the Governor.

This is really cool, things are really happening. Is this the same bill that allows conservatees the right to choose their own legal counsel?
