But, musically it's way to similar..

Even with a more euro dance production, you can tell even with the jlo version being more Latin production, that despite a different composition, not much was really changed outside production and tempo. Even the way the girl group sang it, is exactly how jlo recorded it, but let's be real, jlo was viewed originally as an industry plant for Tommy to get back at Mariah, for a while jlo had commercial success, but during the rebirth era, Tommy was no longer with Sony and Mariah Carey had her rise from the ashes with The emancipation of mimi..

 

But jlo did prove that she went from industry plant, to actual icon. Especially in the latin culture.  

 

But which version you prefer..

 

The original 1997 Euro dance version or the Jlo latin dance pop version. 

 

I pick Jlo but in the epic hex hector remix which won a Grammy for best remixed recording but it went to Hex Hector the remixer, and not jlo.
