This feels so contrived: it's like they're checking off boxes on their list of wokeness. In fact I distinctly remember someone in the "Demi gets triggered by cookies" topic joking about them coming out as non-binary next. Raven who?

I feel like Demi should really ditch Scooter Braun, because by association,  I will never be able to seperate a person's troubles, be they mental health, identity, image etc., from a marketing opportunity for Scooter.

Demi, since the release of their album, has made headlines for their **** relapse, overdose, documentary detailing it, their recovery/sobriety that isn't a recovery/sobriety because they are still using substances, publicly slandering business over inoffensive things while claiming to have apologised in private while completely making those with eating disorders look bad, accidentally leaking *****, and now this. 

 

I really cannot seperate it from Ariana's expirience in Manchester bring followed by an album, and the death of her ex following that, and that's before we even get to Justin Bieber's many "comebacks" and pity parties, even though they've all come down to "he's just not that good a person", and then culturally appropriating black culture because its cool.

I feel like Demi really needs a clean break, and reestablish themselves as artist, rather than trauma **** to sell generic music.

I don't follow them but I feel like they come out every other week. It's cool that they're finding themselves but maybe try to find yourself in private first and then announce it to the world. I hope they're getting there though and getting better
