It actually was supposed to be her Ray of Light but with “urban pop”. It would have been very special if she spent time on it I think but if I’m being honest, she also really wasn’t passionate about her career during that time and it is so obvious now looking back

she was honest. there were songs that very obviously were trying to mimic that and some even sounded genuine (Alien, Hold On Tight, Brightest Morning Star, Don't Cry). Some were, eh..., almost genuine but not good? (Body Ache, Til It's Gone). Others sounded like mockery or weren't genuine at all and didn't try to hide that.

It was like a comissioned manufactured album with very small sprinkles of genuity.

I just think something happened after she recorded Hold On Tight and BMS (the earliest songs).
