On April 24, 1993 it was declared "Britney Spears Day" in Kentwood, Louisiana.

 

 

 

On April 24, 1999, Britney Spears appeared on the Japanese show POP Jam to perform her debut single ...Baby One More Time

 

 

A year later, on April 24, 2000 she was performing the last show of her Crazy 2k Tour in Honolulu, Hawaii.

 

 

After a round of promotional performances in Europe, she flew to Hawaii to conclude her (You Drive Me) Crazy Tour (also known as Crazy 2k Tour) before the imminent release of her sophomore album Oops!... I Did It Again a few weeks later. This show would be later aired on Fox channel in June, and would also be included on her Britney Spears: Live and More! DVD in November.

I think it was the date she either got accepted into the Mickey Mouse Club or was leaving to go film it?

Britney was Kentwood's own local celebrity, everyone always kept up with her performances when she was a kid over there.
