What's the appeal of buying merch? 

I know every YouTuber/popstar sells ****ty hoodies and tshirts but why do people want these? Obviously there is a huge market for this stuff but I never understood why.

IT'S PERFECT. It's totally reflective of Britney's brand today:

• Reliant on the nostalgia act they've been riding since 2004's Greatest Hits: My Prerogative (classic BOMT font)
• Can't tell what's real versus fake
• If it is indeed real, or contains some real aspects, it's heavily processed - at the very least
• Minimal effort
• Non-existent budget despite being way overpriced
• Little to no involvement from Britney
• Tacky and outdated
• A money grab

So the person posted the actual like... Photo. Not a photo of the t-shirt. But a semi good quality of the pic... With his huge tags all over it. 

 

If he really wanted people to not buy it. He'd post it. WITHOUT his tags. So we can download. And make our own shirts. So no one needs to buy the team con one....

If the merch is cute it’s a nice way to directly support your favorite content creator? It’s not a hard concept to grasp lol. Buying merch after a concert is where all the ac/dc shirt hype came from to begin with
