Let's talk about Lil Kim, the original queen of rap.

Recommended Posts

In my opinion, Lil Kim is and will always be the pinkprint of female rap, she basically created the female rapper prototype that everyone is carrying right now, the outfits, the gimmicks, the tropes, the whole bad bish concept... Lil Kim walked so Nicki/Cardi/etc could run.

All the things that today's female rappers are doing today, Lil Kim was already doing it in 1996. They were still in diapers back then, some of them weren't even born.  Kim started the ***ually explicit movement in female rap. She's also the first female rapper to merge designer fashion with hiphop, The only way any female rapper is NOT a Lil Kim son, is if they go the Lauryn hill path. Kim literally changed the way the world saw female rappers. The Blueprint. Lil' Kim is the architect, everything in female rap is based off her blueprint. As long as Nicki, Cardi, Meg, etc keep succeeding, Kim will always be relevant because they are living her legacy.
