I...don’t think this is an expressly Republican/Democrat partisan issue.

Yes, these two congressmen are Republicans...but they are requesting the *entire* House Judiciary Committee review this...and the HJC is comprised of Dems & Reps: https://judiciary.house.gov/about/members.htm

Point being... This thread shouldn't be left vs right.  Politicians are scummy ON ALL SIDES.  The fact that you're not grateful that conservatorship abuse is finally being brought up to congress, regardless which side is bringing it up, is sad. This is an issue that has been going on for so long not just to Britney, but to many people, especially elderly people who don't have a say.  It's so sad that most people don't even know about it, and it took a celebrity to suffer in a similar type of abuse for it to come to the spotlight. It's about time it that congress addresses this.  I really hope this actually drives the necessary changes that will save people in these disgusting situations.
