Jessie J talks new album

Jessie J's fifth studio album is in the works. According to her, it's not meant for the fall. I assume that means it's got a bunch of summer-time bangers.

In a new interview with UDiscoverMusic, Jessie says it'll be tough to top her previous works, but she's up for it.

“The challenge of beating that [my debut] is the hardest thing,” she said, “And I haven’t. ‘Bang Bang’ nearly got there.”

There isn't a confirmed release date yet.

“These songs are not for a turtleneck, you know what I’m saying?”

Jessie makes great music so I'm perched for this. Exhale, you excited for her new tunes?

Yea she's widely-known but I still feel like she's underrated. The GP needs to wake up

She definitely has talent and her vocals are stellar. Her last album should be easy to top  but I definitely think she needs a few relevant collabs to put her name back in the spotlight because she isn’t a household name in America

I think a collab with Doja Cat would be great or Ava Max would be unique. Bang Bang was awesome too.

She deserves more recognition and more hits... I think it's a bit unfair how quickly people leave her out when it comes to 'Bang Bang'. I think the three ladies complement each other amazingly well, she's not being outshined and still people forget about her. She is also very likeable I think. Come through, Jessie!

It was everything! The vocals were perfect and Nicki’s rap unmatched! Again, why the Grammy are snubbing such moments in history? That’s just so unfair.

I agree! None of my straight friends know who I'm talking about when I mention "Jessie J". But when I start to sing some of her songs (badly!), they know all of them! It is definitely impacting her streams. And it's been a while since she made the news, so even I was like : "Oh, yeah, she still exists!" when I saw the post!

She’s working with Ryan Tedder so there should be some good pop anthems! I’ve met her and she’s fabulous. Would love for her to have another hit. She sealed the deal for me when she was on the Chinese singing competition. Impeccable

i used to love her and between 2011-2013 i was a massive fan. loved her first 2 albums [who you are / alive]. but she started to lose me during the sweet talker era. i liked the album but nowhere near\ as much as the first two. But her attitude during the interviews she did for ST really made me dislike her saying how 'unappreciated\ she was in the UK. And then she said in the US shes celebrated as one of the greats, and i thought omg get over yourself. i just found her so obnoxiuos and the fame/success went right to her head. then the fourth album she completely lost me. music was awful but the nail in the coffin for me was during her previous eras she said in interviews how terrible she thought of female artists stripping off and being **** in their music videos..........but then she made a music video like this Jessie J - Think About That (Official Video) - YouTube where shes half naked and wearing a gimp mask and i just thought nah now you've lost me hun

She might not have topped Who You Are when it comes to commercial success, but she has certainly topped it quality-wise many times. Though, it's a damn shame that one of the most talented vocalists of our generation is so underrated.
