A thread about Britney's Insta - she's a person just like you

For me it’s just a combination of the editing and the captions. I mean if she were to be like “does anyone else just play around when no ones watching?” or something it wouldn’t feel as weird. I don’t think it’s her acting crazy though, quite the opposite. She’s just misunderstood but I can understand why at the same time. You can’t watch one of those videos and not think it’s somewhat odd. Also she’s said herself a million times that she’s not tech savvy and she’s also just a simple southern girl. It’s kind of like when she drove with Sean on her lap and said her Dad did that all the time growing up. In a way it’s super refreshing to see a celebrity just do normal things but I can’t lie, it would be awesome if we got a mix of her showing off fashion or some cool dance routines on top of the content we get now. I miss seeing her all dolled up lol.

Agreed. She's very misunderstood. Not to mention the context behind her situation doesn't help her case either because everyone is still looking at her through the lens of "crazy" so her just doing being herself with the bad editing and captions makes her appear very odd.

It could be that Britney Spears is using a "business account" of Instagram and they have strict copyright laws on music for Instagram Business Pages. If shes using just a normal insta account, its not strict with music

When Chaotic came out, people were already very put off by her personality there, myself included (though I admit only watching clips), because I thought the reality show for a star of her caliber was ridicolous. 

I think Britney has always been dolled up to be perfect in both looks and personality, and it must be exhausting, hence why she really broke with that from 2004 onwards.

Maybe because we're not as brave as Britney to post things that we like to do or want to, we all want to convey a picture perfect imagine of our lives in social media and conform to what everyone is doing or posting, but that doesnt always is compatible with reality. Look at Beyonce she posts ig pictures with all the latest trends and selling her merch, but we all know she got dry knees and faked her pregnancy.

look, Fadi Karadsheh made a better video editing of Britney's dancing... and immediately noticeable what a big difference a good editing is able to make !

I'm sorry, but I struggle to believe these videos are being posted just because 'she feels to post them'. There must be another reason (who knows, bad publicity is still publicity? After all, for instance, all of my friends started to notice her again just because of these videos). She has literally more than 25 million followers, I think it's impossible she's the one (or the only one) who manages that profile. That likely applies to all celebrities (I don't think Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and so on manage their profiles on their own). Besides, Britney is in this ****ty conservatorship, how could she have easy access to Instagram?

The same thing happens with her instagram. These elements can backup a lot of arguments when it comes to mental health, and how she handles her life (you do realise that we're talking about a c-ship that prevents her from going on the internet without asking for it?). She has to show that she can handle herself perfectly. Imagine her dad saying: "we give her a little bit of control over her life and look! she can't even brush her hair!". Of course, we all constantly have messy hair, we all move in our living room in pyjamas or even underwear with silly moves, and we all do weird stuff. BUT when you have several appointements in court in order to get your freedom and basic human rights back, you have to show how perfectly fine you are. And any little detail counts. She shouldn't give them any material that can be used against her. I know, it's shallow, it's sad, but that's how our world works. Everything is based on appearances. 

I'm just saying that she should think twice before recording these videos. I don't believe that she has any control over her instagram though, just that she records 1008 videos a day and send them to her social media team. 

thank you, you are evidently in touch with reality. and yes, i agree that people overreact to her instagram and she is a person like us, but you need to be smart about what you post on your brand's social media we can't romanticize some of the things she doesn't do well; and in my opinion, wether its her, her team or whomever is handling her instagram is not doing a good job.

social media for a star of her caliber should present her differently, this is her work. this is why this is a verified / official account... this is not like our social media accounts in which we post whatever, her account is like work for her, and you wouldn't show up at work not looking your best, right? i personally believe that people think her IG presence is "off" because of her looks / makeup rather than the dances.

Yeah I think this thinking is so harmful and what they want us to believe... that she’s just  “expressing herself”... 

also if someone’s been under Britney’s situation they would express themselves oddly... also it seems everyone is forgetting they keep her very medicated... that’s how this whole thing started because she refused her medication

also this lady named  Cassie runs her account, now account manager would let there client be shown in a bad light

I think it’s important to add that Jamie once mentioned in a court document “well just look at Britney’s Instagram..” as an argument for while he should remain her conservator

the government needs to get involved, I can’t ever see her getting out of this as long as ingham is leading the ship with 10k a week salary...
