First of all, Bebe is incredibly talented. So if you're dismissing her talent, then you're giving yourself no means of a good argument. What you COULD say is that while Meant to Be wasn't a particularly great song, the song was still EVERYWHERE and surely deserved a nod somewhere and also could have easily won one of the Grammy's for record of the year or country collab ones. There is legitimacy in what she's saying, even if you're not buying what she's selling.

Honestly I think babe Rexha Is hated cos she's calling out the industry, think about it, she told them to stop erasing her cos 30 isn't old..

 

She's forcing them to embrace things and unfortunately it's led to her downfall.

I’ll give the fact that the same old people Vite for these awards, which means it can be obviously be rigged in certain artists favor. But to make a statement basically invalidating all of her peers work, claiming they pay for their awards is such petty, trash take.

Unfortunately the Grammys was exposed in 2019, a lot of acts today hate them..

 

#1 strict policy on what's allowed, basically they want you to be PG Rated, anything R (explicit) gets you literally just genre only, but nominated for the big 3..

 

I know several independent artists, who said F That, if I want to cuss I'm going to.

What she said is a kind of dark rabbit hole of a theory I found myself going down about a month of two ago. If you know entertainment history then you would know that a certain rat named h. used bullying tactics and maybe some cash to get oscars (noms/wins). I have over the past few years gotten the feeling that record label execs and/or artist management use these same kind of tactics to get grammy noms/wins. If this is going on, then I believe that a lot of the time the artists are not clued into it. To me this explains why yummy of all songs got grammy nominated this year (That song is absolutely terrible).  There also was a whole scandal last year involving the ouster of the recording academy president and some things she said in regards to said ouster (such as the nominations/wins being rigged). I believe that said scandal is still somewhat ongoing due to an investigation into things. Some of this is overall fascinating stuff, if you want to venture down said rabbit hole.

She is not wrong. Look at the past wins of artists. How in her 22 years of music and major success does Britney only have 1 Grammy ? The Grammys have never been a relevant award show. At least in my opinion.
