It would not make sense because they would act the same, lbr. Mtv would apologize just for good press.

They shouldn't have used her. Britney gave them all the ratings, iconic performances, the hype... and they just used her years after. They used her for ratings, making fun of her, creating fake hype on her fans... whatever. It does not make sense, they should respect her, and that's all. That would prove they've learnt from their mistakes.

yeah I think the vmas 08 were they way to apologize, along with for the record, the countdown to it, and maybe even the Video Vanguard Award

She's the Marilyn Monroe of the music industry after all, her videography is literally the most iconic one of the 2000s, who cares about some awards that ain't nobody besides stans are caring about
