Popular Post PokemonSpears
On February 13, 2016, Britney Spears started the 12th leg of her Las Vegas residency Britney: Piece of Me. The revamped version of the show, that started in 2013 and was originally set to last for two years, came as a result of a two-years extension that was announced in late 2015. New outfits and props were added to the show, which kept most of the base setlist, though some of the songs were rearranged in the order they were performed, and some other songs such as Lucky and Perfume were completely removed in order to incorporate new tracks. This new format would be kept throughout the year and until the end of the residency in 2017, including the Asian Tour that summer, though some songs would be added and removed along the way. Among the changes were the inclusion of Gimme More's second verse, which was originally shortened as it was performed on a medley with Break the Ice and Piece of Me (which were both moved to the first act replacing 3). Britney also brought back her cover of I Love Rock 'N' Roll, which she hadn't performed live since her Dream Within a Dream Tour ended in 2002. For this performance they made use of the giant electric guitar on which she performed Burning Up during the first dates of her Femme Fatale Tour in 2011. A dance medley composed of three Missy Elliot songs was also added to the setlist after Pretty Girls. The songs were Work It, Get Your Freak On and WTF (Where They From) and the medley would be performed on the promo performances that she did later in the year at different radio festivals. A new segment that was added after Circus, were three other songs she brought back from her old catalogue: If U Seek Amy, Breathe on Me and Touch of My Hand. Looking better and happier than ever, this started what would be considered by the fans the second prime of Britney Spears that would extend throughout 2016. 11 Link to comment
On_Mah_Raydah
Always preferred the intro from the first Vegas round with the giant ball for Work *****. That was more Vegas and it looked awesome. Loved all the other changes back then. And her confidence on stage was back at 100. 1 Link to comment

ChrisBritSlo
I remember the excitement on Exhale at the time. We were in awe, felt like ITZ-ney reappeared. I miss POM 4 Link to comment
Mr. Cavill
That was a moment and it set the expectations for Glory. A few months after that we got the BBMA performance which was a killer one! It is after that that things started getting messier - Make me official video taking so fricking long, the result was a big meme, the VMAs were nice but very polarising reviews, especially after Beyonce's killer medley. And then we know the rest 3 2 Link to comment
alienatedNey
I was so angry to know that they got rid of the WB Ball. That ball made the residency look expensive tbh. But i love the revamped POM overall Link to comment
UnusualRick
The first nights of the 2.0 is my favorite part of the residency. Link to comment
Alex_1991
Well that was such an important moment for the fans. Despite not being perfect, this show really gave us glimpse of Primeney. We were ecstatic about the womanizer dancebreak, gm full performance, i love rock and roll and her overall look, energy and charisma. One of the best moment to be a stan after 2004 5 Link to comment
britneymegamix
This was the closest to Primeney we got. Period. Better than both Circus promotional performances and the super-duper-overrated Circus Tour, better than anything she gave us post 2004. Yes, it didn't last that long (indeed, the performances she did in late 2016 like at the Apple thing were quite bad already), but it was incredible experiencing those glimpses of Primeney, I was genuinely shocked, I didn't expect that at all. I mean, this is literally Overprotectedney: 6 1 Link to comment
(You Drive Chris) Crazy
I was there’re very first night of the revamp and it was pure magic. She was literally prime level energy Britney and she was SO gorgeous she was glowing. The energy in the theater was out of this world. An incredibly solid show I miss it :( 2 Link to comment
dr35
I saw the one of the last shows in 2015, before seeing the new show in 2017, and I feel like I got the best of both worlds. At the end of 2015, Brit was on fire. The show was confident, **** and fun. I LOVED the Alien ball coming out of the ceiling. Missed that in the second version of the show. The addition of 'Breathe On Me' and 'Touch of my Hand' though.... I was in heaven in 2017. Miss it! 1 Link to comment

Fab britney
If they kept the ball and original break the ice choreo it would’ve been perfect. 2 1 Link to comment
Isla
Despite everything going on in her life she seemed really happy in 2016. I liked a lot of the new performances and costumes that came about for the 2016 revamp. The school uniform one being my absolute favourite (I think it was first worn in 2016?) 4 Link to comment
