Misogynistic tweet related to Britney goes semi-viral

Recommended Posts

Look, I’m all for guys appreciating their video games (Im guilty of playing GTA, Madden, 2K, etc. back in grade school) but I personally find this tweet highly misogynistic and discrediting the impact of not only the media’s role towards Britney but the #FreeBritney movement. Just goes to show we still got a looong way to go when it comes to toxic masculinity, especially within American society.

To me this just means they weren't part of the hate train because they were busy playing games and didn't care about pop culture

it's just such a pretentious and contrarian statement to make and the worst thing is that they don't even realize it

I mean they arent wrong, not a whole lot of straight men knew anything about what was going on with Britney.

If they could ignore her getting hated / were passive while it happened, why can't they be passive while everyone's apologizing? Play your videogames and stay out of it then
