Morgan Wallen's record label dropped him in light of him using the "N" word in a leaked video

Recommended Posts

Morgan wallen who's literally the hottest country pop sensation,  should be celebrating the fact that he has the most successful country album in streaming history, and other accolades across Billboard charts.

Unfortunately a video leaked where he said the "N" word caused so much controversy..

Morgan,  himself admitted and apologized,  but the damage is done..

Spotify and apple Music removed him from playlists, made it hard to find him on both platforms,  Apple canceled their contract to promote his album across Apple music and an apple tv+ special..and if that's not bad.

His record label suspended him from his contract and future promotional activities,  that suspension I'd business talk, he was basically dropped by the label.

Given Black live matter, do you all agree with basically erasing him and his Music as if none of it ever happened?

Was it right for his label to basically drop him as well?

I've also noticed,  most celebs today don't even have a publicist like they did in the past, if they had a publicity agent, they would book TV shows, and try to actually handle this PR nightmare, like they did in the past,  which was easier for the public to forgive and move on.

Ugh. Cancel culture is literally cancer.

If this was some hot pop starlet y’all would take a half assed apology and go back to listening to their trash music. :reductive_madonna_mdna_tea_coffee_cup_sips_sipping_drink_spill:

So true errm Justin Bieber and Camila Cabello...

But I'm glad they are taking such action. After the last 4 years, the former adminstration empowered whites to use the N-word so freely with hardly any recourse. Drastic measures like this should be warranted and I hope this is a step forward where racists will rethink about being so vocal with their racism. In a perfect world there would be no racism but I don't even know if America will ever get there.

Also this is the same dude that SNL cancelled because leaked video of him partying, making out with strangers and with no mask surfaced. All his fans were like give him a break, he's just a kid...like wtf? He's almost 30 with a child. Country music lovers always try to give the "boys will be boys" excuse but women have to be angels.

I have no pity for this POS. :trash_throw_away_recycle:

For me it depends on the context. Was he singing it? Was he saying it in a happy way like “yeah n- !”

I realize that is also bad but I wouldn’t say it’s AS cancel worthy as if he was saying it about a black person, or actually saying it with racism behind the intent. If that makes sense.

Good I think it needs to be fair and call out racism when we see it :mhmnod_yes_agree_nodding: But Masked Singer is one of the biggest shows on tv so he’ll be okay  :cackling_cackle_lol_what_unbelievable_disbelief_glasses_meme:

True I agree with you on that! I mean idk if it's bad or a good thing that celebs can redeem themselves and supposedly "grow", and then resume a career again. We've seen so many people get cancelled and give it months or sometimes years and they come back. Idk if their growth is genuine or not.

That’s true they do need to face real consequences and not just a slap on the wrist. I believe people can grow but maybe I’m just an optimist :haha_britney_laugh_lol_lmao_hehe_haha_bw_black_white:

I’m not American so I can’t really speak on this so don’t take take my pov too serious bc I don’t know what I’m actually talking about xD

To me it seems that people who use the word really don’t understand what it means. They might know but they don’t understand. I refuse to believe that so many people are actually racist.

Personally I don’t think people should lose their career over something they don’t understand and thus don’t really mean. Intention matters to me.

I don’t know the singer btw and I did not see the video.
