Streams go into certs. 

 

Plus RIAA goes by shipments,  not sales.

A lot of the diamond albums from Mariah Carey,  TLC and others aren't really diamond at all

Ohhh makes sense now

But I mean, Britney still sold 11 million copies of BOMT in order for it to go diamond whilst Taylor needed streaming figures to add up to diamond certification but I didnt even know they add streams (i did know about shipments) to sales as well
