Elliot Page and Emma Porter Release Joint Statement on Divorce

After coming out as trans a few months ago, Juno star Elliot Page was reported by TMZ to have filed for divorce from their wife Emma Portner in Manhattan earlier today.

Elliot Page and Emma Porter have since released a joint statement through their representatives, "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer. We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”

The couple first got married in early 2018. Elliot Page wrote "Can't believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife."

Dance and choreographer Emma also provided massive support when Elliot went through their transition. She defended them against online trolls and hate messages.

They seemed like such a great couple, so I'm glad they are still remaining friends, but another beautiful couple in Hollywood split again. Who will be the next?

Elliot Page is the star of Umbrella Academy and Inception. I only posted it because I saw all major news publications do it. Even BBC reported it for unknown reason

I guess that announcing that she's a transgender didn't really do well to her marriage lol. Fickle!
