Popular Post PokemonSpears
On January 26, 2004, the premiere of Pepsi's Gladiator commercial took place in London. The ad was filmed at the Coliseum in Rome and featured Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Pink as gladiators who perform a new version of Queen's classic We Will Rock You. Enrique Iglesias played the role of the evil emperor, and Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen also made cameo appearances. Brian May said about the commercial: "I will die happy, I think in the end, it will be a good piece of art. There is more money and more talent per second in an ad than in anything else. It was incredible to work with the three of them, and hear the song come to life in a new way. Freddie would definitely have enjoyed it". Britney said about this collaboration: "It's amazing to work with artists like Pink and Beyoncé. It's really, really cool. You want to pinch yourself. This was a thrill beyond belief." Several promo singles were released featuring the track from the commercial, plus some songs by the three divas and Enrique. The general one featured: We Will Rock You (Pepsi "Gladiators" Sound Track Remix) - Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Pink Trouble - Pink Me, Myself & I (Remix) (Grizz's Main Mix) - Beyoncé Me Against the Music (Remix) (Dragon Man Mix) - Britney Spears Addicted (Remix) - Enrique Iglesias Sky Away - Solange Everything You Want -JC Behind the Scenes And then there were the Britney Exclusive, Beyoncé Exclusive and Pink Exclusive promo CD's 18 Link to comment

Super Mods princessmimi Posted January 26, 2021 Super Mods Share Posted January 26, 2021 Wow this was 17 years ago?? Man time flies by! It sucks how Beyonce is bigger than Britney now yet back then they were equal. I wish Britney did another big Pepsi ad, it would show the world why she was the poster girl for it 3 1 Link to comment
Content Curators Midnight Posted January 26, 2021 Content Curators Share Posted January 26, 2021 I wanted Shakira instead of P!nk that's right I said it Both BBs looked gorgeous at the presentation. Someone verify this for me, I think I heard once that Britney said she didn't want people playing Beyonce music in her presence, particularly "Crazy In Love" was that true ? 2 I wanna be there when you touch fire Link to comment

Its clearly false. Britney loves Beyonce, she would never say that and that too, she was never so egoistical that she wouldn't want another artist music playing in her presence 3 Link to comment

Britney has 48833982 iconic moments that everyone heard of and Bey maybe 2? And Brit is a legend. More people heard about Britney than Beyonce. The only difference is that now Britney doesnt work 10 3 Link to comment

Brit Brit
Lets be real, this was one of the last iconic pepsi commercials we've seen to date. These were the three biggest female artists they could've picked for this, besides Xtina and maybe Shakira. These three killed it, and now all three of them are considered icons and, dare I say, legends. That being said, I thought P!nk suited this legendary Queen hit much better than both Bey & Brit. I still wish Queen had done a "Queen +" tour with her instead of Adam Lambert. It doesn't matter the gender (idk if they're against picking a female for their tours), if the shoe fits, the shoe fits, and IMO I always wish P!nk had done a tour with them. She's the only female that could've came close to Freddie's energy as far as stage presence etc goes. Listen to her perform "Bohemian Rhapsody" on her Funhouse Tour and you'll see what I'm talking about. No solo artist has ever performed the song like that, let alone including the opera section. Queen never even did that. But yeah, they couldn't have picked a better trio. All three of them are completely different, musically, artistically, physically, the whole nine yards. So Pepsi got it right with this one. 7 Link to comment

Bad Bunny will be the emperor Right?! I'ver been waiting for them to recreate some of the iconic female-oriented moments that happened previously in the 2000s. Not just this commercial, but I've been WAITING for a new Lady Marmalade! I've always envisioned Ariana Grande to replace Xtina, possibly Gaga just to fill the veteran/P!nk role or something (yes IK P!nk wasn't a veteran at the time), and somebody else with lesser vocals to fill Mya's role. I'm not sure who though... I mean, there's plenty of average vocalists now. And if they want a rapper, like they had Lil Kim for the last one, you already know they're gonna pick Cardi B or Meg.
